An orchestra is a group of people playing
different instruments that make beautiful music. The family of instruments are
called brass, strings, percussion and woodwind.
The string section is played by
rubbing or plucking with the bow on the strings.
Another family is percussion.
The percussion family is played by hitting or striking.
The next family is
woodwind. Woodwind instruments are played by blowing in the mouth piece. The
oboe like other instruments were originally made with wood.
Lastly there is the brass section. Brass
instruments are made of metal.
When these musical instruments are played
together they sound beautiful.
